January 18, operating the firm train № 7by service Almaty - Moscow and moving the section Uralsk - Ozinki on the stretch of Semiglaviy Mar - Taloviy, the engineer of first class Pruss and assistant engineer with the right management Emelyantsev, leaving the "curve" with very poor visibility of the snowstorm noticed a barrier on the way.

Quickly assessing the situation the engineer and his assistant immediately applied the emergency brake to supply sand and use the crane to the complete filling of the locomotive brake cylinders.

As it turned out, on the nonguarded crossing as a result of snow drift skidded the tractor-trailer. Thanks to the vigilance of Alexander Pruss and Dmitry Emelyantsev the passenger train of 17 cars was stopped by a few dozen meters from the place of a possible collision.
